I have a very complicated relationship with my hair: a love/hate
relationship that has fallen more toward hate in recent years. The
bright, shiny, beautifully curly hair of my youth has evolved into a
dull, coarse, unbelievably kinky mess. I have spent countless hours
trying to beat it into submission with chemical relaxers and weekly
sessions with the flatiron, but no amount of styling product or time
spent with a flatiron will save my hair from the summer heat and

comes into play. As the name implies, the shampoo and conditioner
contain argan leaf extract, which I had never heard of before. It
promises to restore your hair, smoothing out the hair shaft while
providing radiant sheen. I was hopeful that the products would work
wonders on my hair because I have had great success with Kiehl’s in the past, but I wasn’t holding my breath. Well, I can honestly say I’m
hooked. It’s a phenomenal product. The results were much better than
I could have even imagined; it just makes my hair look SO much healthier. I was so happy with the results that I even wore
my hair naturally curly for the first time in about six years (which was
a huge deal for me). The only caveat (for me) is that the shampoo and
conditioner have a strong eucalyptus scent. As someone who prefers her
scents girly (fruity and floral), I thought it smelled just a little too natural, but it’s nothing I can’t tolerate when the results are so amazing.

I think we all know that, well, Chanel can do no wrong. Especially when it comes to nailpolish! I recently got all their fall makeup, but the first thing my greedy eyes alighted on was Paradoxal, a gorgeous shimmery-purpley-grey confection. Vanessa Price, the creator of his famously floppy, swoopy, shaggy bowl (which is now covering more than one famous head) checked in with us about what it’s like to work with the Bieber himself. I had to really restrain myself from asking what his hair feels like (probably spun gold and bunny fur), or if his eyes sparkle magically in real life (probably they do), and a million other questions for the benefit of you crazed Bieber fans, but still I got some good insight!
