Try not to freak out… Next week, in honor of Fashion’s Night Out, the Chanel Boutique in SoHo will debut their Jade Nail Collection. Ok, freak out!! I can’t wait to see it! Peter Phillips, Global Creative Director of Chanel, and creator of hysteria-inducing limited edition polishes, developed the two shades, “Jade” and “Jade Rose” to mimic the jade jewelry, and the pink and pistachio tweed of the Fall 2009 Chanel collection. I don’t think I’ve ever been more excited to get my mitts on a bottle of polish than I am to FINALLY get to play with the Jade. If you, like me, are a Chanel fanatic and a nail nerd, you’ll want to pick up the hues, which will be available starting September 11th at Chanel.com, and Chanel boutiques for $25. And if you’re in the NYC area, you’ll see me in SoHo on September 10th, hysterically fanning my freshly painted digits.

I love the idea of personalized fragrances–there’s something so wonderful about a scent that’s just right for you. I don’t, however, love how expensive it can be! Which is why I’m thrilled by Bath&Body Works new widget that lets you find exactly your perfect fragrance, by dragging elements of your personality into the bottle. With descriptors like “I dream of Paris–the city of love,” and “my car is as cute as I am,” you’re sure to be able to get just the right mix. Based on your choices, the widget determines your fragrance mood (mine is fresh!), then asks what your plans are (I chose weekend getaway), and voila! Three scent options, just right for you! I got Coconut Lime Verbena. Yum! Sound good? Log on, find your suggested fragrance, and then click here to be one of 10 readers to receive a free 2.5 Eau de Toilette in their personalized scent!
In a recent study on 60 people with various degrees of prolapsed hemorrhoids, researchers found that an ointment containing the natural remedy Smartweed gave relief to 50% of the sufferers. Smartweed, also known as Pepper Plant, contains natural adrenaline and hamamelis that cause the blood vessels to constrict and the piles to shrink. There are many other products on the market that are sold as a hemorrhoid cure but do they work?

Since Botox first hit the stage in 1989, it has gone through numerous reinventions. Started as an ophthalmologic treatment it was discovered to be effective against facial wrinkles and in 2002 was welcomed by FDA to the US market. Since then it has become US most popular cosmetic treatment. And it’s wildly popular not only in the US but around the world. Botox applications grow with each and

Harvey Prince & Co., creators of the anti-aging perfume Ageless Fantasy, came up with just another scent-sation. This time they are really playing with fire. The new perfume Eau Flirt was designed to heat up passion and romance. Using data from a reasearch on the impact of scents on male sexual arousal Harvey Prince created a formula for a perfect flirt: sweet and fruity top notes, floral and

I’ve been hesitant to venture into colored mascaras–until now. Estee Lauder Sumptuous Color Bold Volume Lifting Mascara comes in five different colors. If you’re not looking to branch out into the vibrant jewel tones like Sapphire, Amethyst and Emerald, both the Amber and Garnet are actually quite subtle (baby steps!). I wasn’t convinced that I could pull off the Amber because it is fairly close to my skin tone, but pairing it with a shadow in a complementary color (subtle shades of greens and blues) definitely helped the color stand out. I would also like to note that the color is not overwhelming when it is on. It gives your lashes more of a tint rather than an overall, full-on color change. Aside from the color, the formula is great! Rightfully described as “mousse-like”, it is made from “swollen” water so less wax is used, which means it won’t weigh your lashes down, and it’s easier to remove. It also added volume without clumping. If you are ready to take that next step to colored mascaras, I would definitely recommend the Estee Lauder Sumptuous Color Bold Volume Lifting Mascara!

There is absolutely NO reason for me to buy these Miu Miu shoes ($675–eep–at Net-a-porter.com), since they look so similar to the Loeffler Randall sandals I bought (and blogged about) a few months back… But I want them anyway.
