This miniature fragrance charm bottle so unbelievably cute, no?! I first spotted this beauty trinket when Colorado-based perfumer Dawn Spencer Hurwitz, creator of Parfums des Beaux Arts, stopped by my office to show me her latest scents and current best sellers. My eyes kept going back to this delicate-looking charm bottle that looks like it could be an heirloom from a great-great-grandmother. It turns out the bottle is available in different colors (clear, emerald green, and black), each one is handmade in France from antique artisan molds, and it comes with a 4 ml vial of fragrance and a pipette, so you can fill the charm yourself! The little loop on the cap allows you to put it on a chain and sport it as a necklace, too, which I’m definitely going to try out with my beautiful green charm (it’s filled with Dawn’s Pamplemousse fragrance, in case you were wondering). There’s one slight catch: Dawn needs to pick the color and style of charm for you, because the bottles’ handmade origin means she never knows how many of a certain color or style she’ll have at any given moment. But trust me, the unique character of each charm bottle will put a smile on your face every time you look at it. And I think the set–with the vial of fragrance and pipette–would make such a great, one-of-a-kind gift!
