In terms of testing products, the ones I get most excited about are kind of techy and gadget-y. So imagine my excitement when I saw the Silk’n SensEpil, which is the first over the counter at home laser hair removal system! Cooool! This is the first product to be available outside of the doctor’s office, and gives just as good results as what you would get from the pros! I didn’t see much of a difference after the first time I used it, but they say generally it takes two weeks, and two uses to see results. A month after my two-week “treatment cycle,” I’m totally blown away! I hardly ever have to shave my legs now, which I’d say is nothing short of a miracle. The process itself isn’t exactly comfortable or painless — it definitely stings every time you flash the laser against your skin, and all the flashing and stinging gave me a headache, but in the end it’s totally worth it. While at $500 the system isn’t exactly cheap, it’s way less expensive than visiting a doc, and way more convenient considering any time you need to do touch ups you can just pull out the machine! I’d suggest going in on it with a few of your friends, and then each buying your own $50 laser cartridge and sharing it. My girlfriends are already harassing me to borrow it…

Recently, I had the pleasure of meeting the gorgeous (and hilarious) AnnaLynne McCord as she prepped for an Acne Action Plan appearance at NYC’s Time Warner Center. The Acne Action Plan is a totally fantastic tool that helps you tailor an acne fighting plan, so you can go fresh faced to a big event - school photos, prom, you name it! While AnnaLynne plays the princess of Beverly Hills, Naomi Clark, to perfection, this Georgia native is nothing like her character!
What is your daily skincare routine?
First, I use a Dermalogica cleanser, which is a specific skin-clearing wash. Then, I use a great hydrating toner. I always moisturize twice daily, and follow it all up with BenzaClin as a spot treatment before I go to bed.
What about when you get a pimple? What do you think works best?
Nothing has ever worked like BenzaClin - honestly, it’s amazing! Sometimes your derm will say to use it all over your face, but I just use it as a spot treatment before bed.
How did you first get involved with the Acne Action Plan?
Well, I was thrilled to finally find something that worked on my skin! I was always super cynical about acne products, so when I found BenzaClin I wanted to tell the world! The Acne Action Plan is a great way for me to reach out to my fans, and show them something that works, and also let them know that I’m human too, and I have flaws, and it’s okay. I’d been fighting acne forever! I just wanted to connect with my fans and thank them for their support, but also show them something that can help them too.
Aside from 90210 and the Acne Action Plan, what other projects are you working on these days?
Well, right now I’m locked down for the next 9 months with 90210, but I’ve got a film project kind of in the works for the 90210 filming hiatus… I don’t want to say too much, but it would be a very kick butt role! If everything works out it would be so much fun, and so different, think motorcycles and kicking butt! I’d need to start martial arts training, which would be sooo cool…
Do I detect a hint of tomboy?
I’m kind of a BIG tomboy! I’ve really had to come around to my girly side to play Naomi. I’d much rather be out at, like, a gun range than a spa! I actually just got some pellet guns and I set up some targets in my backyard - I’m a surprisingly good shot! So… yeah, that would be the ultimate role for me!
