How much input did you have on the bottle design? (It’s awesome!)
Thanks! I had a lot of input. I sat down and talked about all my favorite elements: I love stars and studs, and my favorite color combos are pink and black. I really wanted the perfume inside to be pink and for the girls to be able to have an item that they can take away and wear. There’s a studded ring on the top of the bottle and they can wear it as a ring or on a necklace. The fragrance comes entirely from my inspiration, and I was really involved in the whole process.

Last week, Features Director Leigh Belz (check out her music blog!) and I went to an advanced screening of The September Issue. All I have to say is all you diehard fashionistas must go!–Run! Sprint like Usian Bolt!–to the theaters to watch it! You get a great behind-the-scenes peek at the making of September 2007’s Vogue and you’ll fall in love with Grace Coddington and be utterly amused by Andre Leon Talley (let me know what you guys think of his tennis outfit, lol). I loved it–even if it felt like I was at work for the whole two hours it was on! Two very enthusiastic thumbs up.
